I was asked to create the illustrations to go with a little story created by the residents of New Hopes Farm, a charming place that Intellectually or Developmentally Disabled Adults can call home.
The content was centered around a round-robin story where participants imagined going to the moon, and what they would want to do there. Their collective story was written down and sent to me, where I was honored to put their ideas into illustrations.
The book was formatted and printed for the residents and the residents' families as a keepsake. Learn more about New Hope Farms.
This 5k run was created to drum up awareness for local food, shelter, and educational support for families in need.
The objective was to design a cohesive brand that would easily reflect the values and mission of the run. The committee requested a bright, simple, easy-to-understand logo for signage, website, social media, and apparel uses.
I was the primary designer for the organization's three-year campaign.
Kazoodles is a an award-winning local small business that specializes in kid-powered and imaginative toys. They're known for their efforts in supporting causes that benefit local families' early learning. So I was more than happy to donate some of my time creating ads for them.
Later, when the store sold, the new owner asked that I do their rebranding.
Their goal was to create a playful, bold, and bright presence for street drivers to easily view storefront signs. They specifically asked for orange and blue as their brand colors, and I added a bouncing ball for the "o" in toys. Visit Kazoodles for great toys!
Columbia Church Rummage Sale has been a staple for over 30 years in our community, supporting thousands of families by providing high quality goods to people with needs. Much of the proceeds funded local charities work supporting families without homes, veterans, and teen parents.
I was honored to be asked to design a theme for the sale, and it was used across various publications, both hard copy and digital.
The project was especially fun, and allowed room for me to express a bit of humor in the retro-inspired designs.
As primarily a digital artist, I love opportunities to work with analogue materials, and this project was a blast!
SELF (Supporting Early Learning Families) is a local organization focused on advocacy and partnerships at the local and state level to provide quality childcare and early learning opportunities for all.
SELF board members approached several local child-inspired artists to paint wooden kid-sized tables and chairs to be auctioned off in order raise awareness and proceeds for families, and I was honored to be invited to participate. Each artist was asked to contribute their table and chair set in the theme of early learning. I created a fun underwater "I Spy" game in my set, supporting visual and shape learning and counting skills, as well as providing a cheeky rhyme to go with it. Kids loved "sitting on the water," hunting out the items in the game, and the surface of the table was clear of distractions so they could create their own works of art.
The Senior Booster Club asked me to design a teeshirt and hoodie to drum up proceeds for the senior party.
I drafted three options, and they voted on the Thunder "T" logo in a circle. I also designed their store and prices sign.
The Music Department reached out, asking me to design concert posters and program covers, and I was grateful for some time in my schedule to do these two. It was a fun way to support the arts at a university.
