Samples of design projects
This collection of party stationary, favors, and decorations is one of my favorite! Hand drawn on 200 pound coldpress paper, painted with high quality watercolors for that dreamy, luminescent aura, then scanned to manipulate digitally, I made the Ocean Friends Baby shower collection for my sisters who were both expecting.
This collection of party stationary, favors, and decorations was a gift to a friend who wanted to do a vintage-inspired ice cream parlor party for her little girl. Teal and pink give it sweet flavor, and the old-timey fonts lend the collection that darling flair.
This collection of party stationary, favors, and decorations was based on my son's favorite book when he was little, Octopus Alone, by Divya Srinivasan. I sampled her adorable illustrations in order to create these charming party items.
This collection of party stationary, favors, and decorations was part of an elaborate surprise birthday party for my son at an actual ninja school in Portland, Oregon! He was obsessed with Ninjago at the time, so it was an easy theme to riff on. I was able to use my remedial skills in reading and writing Japanese to add authentic touches of hiragana to some of the items.
This collection of party stationary and table tent decorations was created in tandem with a friend who together cohosted a fun breakfast party the morning our area was able to get a view of the eclipse.
This collection of party stationary, favors, and decorations is one of my crowning achievements as a party-planning momma!
Inspired by my son's love of swimming, and vintage 1970s-era surf revolution, I even made Raphael's Surf Club tees for party favors (cheap white tees cost a buck a pop, and ironed on printed logos I designed in Illustrator). This theme was a blast to party around, and everyone loved it, especially my boy.
This collection of party stationary, favors, and decorations is one of several iterations from over the 20+ years we and another family have been hosting the annual Pumpkin Carving Party. Little did we know at that first carving between the four of us that, prior to having babies, this party would grow into such a beautiful annual tradition with (some would argue "aggressive" carving competition in various categories with elaborate pumpkin-themed prizes, and even traditional pumpkin carving food and drink. Even during Covid 19, we masked up and met to carve our Jacks! Now our babies are headed into college, and these memories remain some of the most treasured.
This collection of party stationary, favors, and decorations was designed for my little boy who wanted to ride a horse for his birthday. There's a local farm that rescues horses that need medical support or maltreated and gives them a beautiful life while they're on earth. We were able to enjoy this party at that farm.
